Steps to Get Started

1

Request early access

Head to finluency.com and submit your early access request. You’ll be asked for your name, email, and a brief description of how you manage your finances today. The Finluency team reviews requests and sends onboarding invitations on a rolling basis — you’ll get an email with a link to activate your account.
2

Connect your accounts

Once your account is active, connect your financial accounts to Finluency. You can add:
  • Checking accounts — personal and business
  • Savings accounts
  • Credit cards
  • Lines of credit
Finluency uses a secure read-only connection to pull in your transaction data. Your credentials are never stored on Finluency’s servers.
Connect all of your accounts — both personal and business — for the most accurate forward-looking view. Finluency’s projections are only as complete as the accounts you include, and most solopreneurs have cash moving across personal and business accounts regularly.
Need help connecting a specific account type? See the Connecting Accounts guide.
3

Explore the dashboard

After connecting your accounts, land on your Finluency dashboard. Here you’ll see:
  • Your consolidated balance — the combined balance across all connected accounts, updated as transactions post and clear
  • A per-account breakdown so you can see each account’s position individually
  • A snapshot of recent activity pulled directly from your connected institutions
Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the layout. The Dashboard Guide covers every section in detail if you want a deeper walkthrough.
4

Review your cash flow timeline

Navigate to the cash flow timeline view to see your projected balances over the coming days and weeks. The timeline combines posted and pending transactions with any recurring and forecasted activity to give you a forward-looking picture of your cash position. At a glance, you can:
  • Spot upcoming low-balance periods before they become a problem
  • See when large expected payments or income will hit
  • Understand the gap between your balance today and your balance at any point ahead
Learn how to read and navigate the timeline in the Cash Flow Timeline guide.
5

Add and confirm recurring transactions

Your projections become significantly more accurate when Finluency knows about your recurring transactions. Review the recurring transactions Finluency has automatically detected from your history and confirm the ones that are correct. Then add any it may have missed — monthly subscriptions, rent or mortgage payments, regular payroll, retainer income, estimated tax payments, and anything else that repeats on a schedule.Accurate recurring transactions are the foundation of a reliable cash flow projection. Spend a few minutes here and your timeline will reflect your real financial life much more faithfully.
